CEC Necrology Registry
Necrology is a way to announce the passing of someone within an organization and commemorate the member’s service to the organization and field as part of the group’s history. The Council had a long-established practice of remembering members who passed away during the previous year. This acknowledgement ended in 2020.
Through the work of the Division of Leaders and Legacy, the CEC Board of Directors has reinstated the annual necrology by institutionalizing the Necrology Registry to memorialize the passing of CEC members.
Beginning in 2024, a CEC publication will include an annual listing of CEC members who have passed away during the year. Information regarding their component (unit and division(s)) affiliations will be included, if known.
If you know of colleagues who have passed away since January, 2024 please send their names and component (unit/division(s)) affiliations to [email protected] to ensure they are included in this vital record.
