President’s Message: Division of Leaders and Legacy
Dear Colleagues,
Leaders and Legacy welcomes anyone who has been a leader in CEC (in any unit, division, or CEC committee) OR who has been a member of CEC for 15 year or more. Our mission is to provide leadership and professional learning through the legacy and historical understanding of CEC. We have an active agenda to fulfill this mission—in person at the convention and with online activities throughout the year. Join with us and re- connect with the friends and colleagues you have made through CEC.
We welcome current DLL members to join in committees and events, and to share opportunities for membership with your colleagues. Communicate your desire to get involved using the convenient Division of Leaders and Legacy section in the CEC community. Be sure to update your community notifications in the community so you don’t miss postings from your colleagues. With a new name and a new strategic plan, 2023 promises to be an active year.
I am delighted to serve as the president of the Division of Leaders and Legacy (DLL) for 2023. I want to say a huge thank you to Candace Borger (2022 president) and Dave Edyburn (2021 past president) for their incredible service and leadership. They led the foundations that will guide the activities and events of Division of Leaders and Legacy over the next several years. We welcome our new board members, Mikki Garcia, president-elect, Jamie Hopkins, secretary, and Constance Lyttle, CAN coordinator. You can view all DLL board members under the “about” tab at this website.
